It's been a couple weeks since the Bucks were dealt the crushing blow of falling to Number 6 in the NBA's 2007 version of the draft lottery. The teams with best shot at getting the top pick - Memphis 25%, Boston 19.9%, Milwaukee 15.6% - fell to the fourth, fifth and sixth spots, respectively.
All the conspiracy theorists out on the street are still grumbling about how the fix is in, talking about how the whole thing seems shadier than Marshall Mathers. They tell me that Lord Stern is just punishing those teams for playing crappy ball and trying to loose games at the end of the year in order to get a better pick. Maybe those guys are just loaded, but it does seem a little fishy.
