Milwaukee Bucks Need To Close Out Close Games

Milwaukee Bucks Need to Close out Close GamesSomeone tweeted the other day that if basketball was like hockey with 3 periods, then the Milwaukee Bucks would be drowning in championship rings. I thought that was a very fitting analysis of the way the Milwaukee Bucks have been playing lately. They start out games strong, maintain a nice lead through the half and then manage to drop the lead by the last quarter. In the last few games (with the exception of their win over the New Jersey Nets), the Milwaukee Bucks have lost games by a five point margin or less. That's nothing! Last Monday against the Magic, the Bucks had the lead by 2 points with less than 30 seconds left and the Magic topped them 93-90. So how can the Milwaukee Bucks close out these close games? By keeping up a high level of intensity, finding ways to make those key baskets, and playing aggressively always.

The Milwaukee Bucks do have talent. This talent was evident on Sunday night against the New Jersey Nets. Just look at players like Ilyasova, Delfino, Jennings, and Leuer. These guys have skills and when they are on fire, they're unstoppable. They just need to be on fire all of the time. As it stands now, the Milwaukee Bucks would have the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference. To make it to the playoffs, the Bucks would need an 8th seed. If they start closing out close games, I think we will see our Milwaukee Bucks in this year's playoffs.
