2013 telecast schedule is an especially dismal one. Better than last year's, however, Milwaukee's television coverage this season remains at just a single game on a major network. Subscription cable channel NBATV will pick-up four games in 2013. TNT and ABC, the other major affiliates of the league, have limited their coverage of the Bucks to the postseason. Last season, ESPN aired a December game at Memphis featuring the Bucks, and NBATV covered three games.
The Atlanta Hawks visit the BMO Harris Bradley Center for the Bucks sole nationally televised match-up. ESPN will air the game, also the final contest of the regular season for both teams, at 7PM on April 16th. The spot is a more favorable one compared to 2012's mid-season away game at the Grizzlies, which was touted as coverage more focused on Memphis forward Rudy Gay.
April is the Bucks highlight month for national coverage. Three of the team's seven games that month will be aired to an American audience, including ESPN's coverage of the home-closer. NBATV airs two of their four 2013 Milwaukee games earlier in April, hosting a match-up in the city against Toronto on the 5th and game at Washington on the 12th.
NBATV's initial two broadcasts are another pair of home-and-away games. They debut the Bucks national coverage on December 14th in Dallas at 7:30PM; airing the second game as a home battle against Orlando on March 10th.
Team's at the other end of the national coverage spectrum in 2013 include southern rivals the Chicago Bulls, who are featured in 24 games on three affiliate NBA networks this season. The Lakers, Heat, and Knicks are set to receive the most broadcasts in 2013, managing 25 apiece.
